The Baltic Sea

It was a beautiful morning and Ellie loved the sea and sand. Jules was two days past her due date, and just two days away from actually going into labor!

A bit more from CPH

We may be back in the US of A, but there are still a few more photos to share (and they are obviously pre-Mia)!

We met Jules and Eric for a wonderful brunch and then made our way to a park to hang out and play.

Then we made our way to dinner via bike.  I drove Ellie and Jules to dinner.

Then Eric took Julie for a spin.

Then, I drove Ellie and Linda home.  Ellie was so excited, she asked to go around the block again!

Welcome Baby Mia!

Hey everyone, Ellie has a new cousin!  She was SO excited to meet baby Mia who was born on Wednesday, 6/20.  Aunt Julie and Uncle E are already amazing, fabulous parents and Mia is super cute and cuddly and just plain cozy.  We are so happy that we got the chance to meet her before we leave CPH!

Seriously, even more fun!

Last Thursday, we went on a walk with Jules and ended up at a park near her house.  She was sick earlier in the week, so this was her first outing.  Looking great for 40 weeks pregnant!

In the afternoon, Ellie, Nommy and I headed to the Louisiana Museum of Contemporary Art.  Ellie snoozed during the museum store portion of the afternoon.

Amazing installation of a room filled with changing lights.

Ellie loved the room, too.  All she could say was, "can we take a picture?"

On Friday, we went for another walk and explored another neighborhood with Aunt Jules.

More fun

Last Tuesday, we visited the zoo. There were a ton of animals in a small, accessible (see first photo where we are just about able to touch the llama) zoo.

On Wednesday, we rented bikes with Uncle E.  This is a "family bike" that is all over the place in CPH.  Since there are dedicated bike lanes (and fewer cars in general), these are very popular.  Eric started out the tour and I rode back.  Ended up renting the bike for a whole week.  The public transit here is great, but going exactly when you want to go, and ending up exactly where you want to end up via bike is great, too!

Our building is the one on the left.  Eric is right in front of me (I am on Julie's bike behind him).  Through the doorway on the "castle" wall is an amazing playground!

Dad left a week ago

But before he did, we had more fun exploring

and jumping...

and shopping...

and being super cute...

and checking out where the royal family lives...

and Ellie practiced taking more photos...

Thumbs Up to a Happy Father's Day!

It may be slightly early stateside, but here it's only six minutes early to wish Daddy, Poppy, and Grandpa the happiest of father's days!

Love ya!

All in a Saturday's work

We took a train ride up to Helsingor, a very cute little town which is home to Kronborg Castle.  The castle is rumored to be Shakespeare's Elsinore castle in Hamlet.  It was originally built in the 1420s.  Later that day, we went out to dinner with Jules and Eric and then found some trampolines in the middle of the sidewalk to bounce on as we made our way home.  Fun!

Now that's what I call a moat.

And that's what I call an excited kid.
