We can't let a birthday pass without sharing some photos of our little lady! This past year, she has grown so much, literally and figuratively. She's gone from Level D to Level L as a reader, in just a few months of first grade. She is a great partner in adventures and travels. She swims, plays soccer, loves skiing, golfs, and even started to Zumba this last year. She is sweet, smart, and alllllllllllways thinking. No matter how tired she is, she gets a burst of energy once she gets into bed and she asks about a zillion burning questions. It is a definite point of connection. We so appreciate the ways she is maturing and becoming even more thoughtful and respectful, though she is so mature now that it is difficult to remember that she was once small. She likes to be silly around friends and has an infectious laugh when she really gets going. Her new favorite toys are Playmobil and she spends hours setting up different scenarios and stories. This year, we read Pippi Longstocking, Cheaper by the Dozen, the Ramona books, and Charlotte's Web. She started enjoying old black and white movies as well, and has a real affinity for HG tv shows when we let her watch them. Just ask her if you are thinking of any remodel projects ;-) We love her so so so much and we are so thankful for everyone in our life who loves her, too.
